STOP strives to create an engendered and gender-just society through social and economic empowerment of marginalised women and children by adopting a right-based, collaborative, transparent and participatory approach across all decision making processes within the organisation to foster personal and organisational growth, which in turn nurtures talent and promotes organisational excellence. It provides quality education, marketable skill training sessions and leadership opportunities (including through the creation of social enterprises and community self-help groups) geared towards transforming those vulnerable/victimised into becoming survivors who are empowered to spearhead social change. Finally it fosters the creation of resilient and empowered grassroots communities and continually strengthens their capacities to self-govern and handle local, socio-economic challenges.
