Ms. Smriti Kana Ghosh Paul, Senior Programme Manager at STOP, attended a Regional Workshop in Kathmandu from August 26th–29th, 2024, organized by ECPAT International. It was mainly focused on analyzing civil society movements, addressing child sexual exploitation and abuse in the whole of South Asia. Key discussions included the scale, scope, and trends of exploitation, with emphasis on gender, emerging challenges, and collaboration with private sectors, governments, and communities. Sessions explored topics like child exploitation in travel and tourism, the impact of climate change and humanitarian crises, trauma-informed approaches amplifying survivors’ voices, access to justice for child victims, and child safeguarding standards and requirements. STOP’s collaboration with Jan Sahas
STOP collaborated with Jan Sahas, a Non-Profit Organization to set up a camp for providing certain public services to STOP’s Tughlakabad Community residents. On the 17th of August, 2024. About a hundred people got the benefits of new E-shram ID, Abha ID, Labour and Voter ID cards. A few of them also were helped in opening their new bank accounts.
