The Founder of Ramola Bhar Charitable Trust and Managing Trustee of STOP, Ms. Roma Debabrata, was invited as a panellist and felicitated by the Mohanji Foundation on the 8th of March, 2024, on the occasion of International Women’s Day, in the India International Centre. The organization STOP was also represented by Senior Programme Manager, Smritikana Ghosh Paul, and Documentation Officer, Narayani Bhattacharya. Roma Ma’am spoke on the raging topic of women’s empowerment, highlighting education as the key tool to open the doors to create meaningful lives. She stressed upon the fact that education gives knowledge, power, and a sound understanding of all the benefits of schemes given by the government for women and children. Empowerment would not be complete without women being able to make informed decisions and knowing about their rights and benefits. The panel discussions ended with a vote of thanks from the Foundation to all the panellists and audiences gathered there.
