A significant Two-Day Consultation and Strategy Meeting was held on March 25-26, 2025, at Ashok Country Resort, Kapashera Border, New Delhi. This meeting aimed to develop a Specific Work Activity Plan for ATSEC Member Countries for 2025. A total of 30 participants, including 21 from ATSEC Regional Chapters (India), inclusive of 5 online participants, engaged in in-depth discussions on human trafficking, exploitation, and prevention strategies.
The meeting brought together a dynamic mix of experts, social activists, and organizational representatives, both in-person and virtually. The consultation was structured around four key themes on the first day, addressing various dimensions of human trafficking and exploitation:
- Prevention and Collaborative Strategy – Strengthening collective efforts to combat trafficking.
- Trafficking & Sexual Exploitation of Migrants – Addressing the vulnerabilities of migrant populations.
- Digital Exploitation – Tackling cyber-enabled trafficking and exploitation.
- The Rise of Voluntourism and Exploitation of Children – Examining the impact of unethical tourism on vulnerable children.
On the second day, recommendations and suggestions from the participants led to the birth of ATSEC-Action Plan.
Through detailed discussions, case studies, and strategic recommendations, this meeting fostered collaborative efforts to develop impactful interventions against human trafficking for 2025. The event underscored the critical role of cross-border collaboration in addressing modern-day exploitation and ensuring justice for survivors.
