Collaboration with Enactus Aryabhatta

In November, 2020, STOP was approached by Enactus (Global Youth Development Organization) Aryabhatta College seeking collaboration under Project Palaash. As part of the project, three training sessions were conducted with members of the community from November to February. Under the training structure, beneficiaries from community were taught various designs on tie and dye, ombre, etc. Marigold flower, madder roots and tea leaves were used as main ingredient in the making of dye. The products made by the beneficiaries of STOP will be marketed by Enactus Aryabhatta team on different online platforms. Both the organizations plan to scale up the partnership by collaborating for production of home decor items, T-shirts and other apparels.  

STOP Invited to Attend 29th Founders Day of NCW

On 31st January, members of STOP Trafficking and Oppression of children & women were invited by the National Commission for women to celebrate its 29th Founder’s Day and felicitate women corona warriors from across the nation. On the occasion, STOP represented the contribution by NGO’s in extending help and support to the marginalised people living in difficult situations. The occasion was graced and addressed by Hon’ble Minister of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises, Shri Prakash Javadekar, Hon’ble Minister of State, MoSJE & M/o Jal Shakti, Shri Rattan Lal Kataria and Ms. Rekha Sharma, Chairperson, National Commission for Women.

Hon’ble guests discussed women across various fields taking lead and charge to address issues experienced in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic. Various government policies and initiatives taken by the NCW to address complaints of women and elderly persons were also discussed.
