US Embassy Invites STOP to celebrate of “Women’s History Month”

On 19th March, 2021, STOP was invited to American Embassy, New Delhi by the Political affairs section to celebrate women’s history month. On the occasion select organizations, authors, academicians were invited to discuss matters concerning women empowerment and safety of women.

Representative of STOP discussed the challenges faced by women at the grassroots due to COVID-19 pandemic. The foreseen challenges concerning female literacy and child protection were also discussed. The issue of human trafficking and its changing trends were discussed at length.

STOP invited to a global virtual conference to celebrate women enterprises

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Farcap, a fair trade clothing brand in Germany, organized a global conference celebrating women entrepreneurs from across the globe. Prof. Roma Debabrata founder president, STOP was invited to lead the discussion on how women from marginalised backgrounds can rise up and not just fulfil their financial needs but also help fellow women who are facing similar challenges.

A master trainers Ms. Sonali also participated in the event and discussed their journey and challenges as well as collectively deliberated over the various areas to improve for achieving women empowerment.

STOP invited by NCW to celebrate “Men for Women” on the occasion of International Women’s Day.

On 10th March, 2021, STOP was invited by the National Commission for Women to celebrate internal women’s day by acknowledging contribution of men in success of women. The events had men narrate their stories and role in success of women in their lives. The event was aimed at changing a common perception that only women support successful men.

The aim to establish that even men can be supportive in women’s growth well resonated with the idea of women empowerment and gender equality.
